Slow to open. Still a useful site

Solid content, loads very slow.

If you have the patience or the need to watch commercials or pop up ads while you’re trying to search or watch anything on the app, this app is for you. The are so many ads everywhere in the app that’s it’s sometimes hard to differentiate what’s part of the KARE 11 app and what’s an ad. I’d use a different local app for news stories and updates!

I check in to get updates on the whole state. At times the news does need a refresh after days of the same old.

I faithfully watch the 10 p.m. news when I’m home in MSP and want to do the same when I’m out of town, but it’s frustratingly difficult to do that in the app. If I click on “watch” I’m taken to an interminable string of ads followed by dropping into another broadcast perhaps ten minutes into it - the 6 p.m. broadcast sometimes, the 4 a.m. broadcast other times. Occasionally it seems to work, but it doesn’t seem to behave the same way two times in a row. I’m guessing the decision has been to focus on other ways of delivering content but would it really be that hard to make it easy to access past broadcasts?

I like the content and I am a big fan of the Kare 11 news program and content. That said there is a huge issue with inconsistent audio levels between content and adds. It feels like commercial content is at least 5-10 db louder. Enough to be extremely annoying. Please consider.

I like the KARE11 app. But sometime it seems like it’s a little light on news and heavy on ads.

Decent app but you post stories for waaaay too long…my opinion storylines shouldn’t be posted for, at a maximum, 3 days….you guys seem to hang on for 1 1/2 to 2 weeks or longer….move on….your like a bunch of old ladies!!!😜

KARE 11 news is the best place to hear news and stories. They are clear, balanced, and Deliver the news with accuracy and Community spirit.

Too many of the same stories day after day Hardly any scores from the home town teams We connect with home while away for the winter And miss keeping up with what is going on at home

I like getting local news updates right to my phone. However, I don’t need a push notification when some school or other non major team are playing one another in sports. Every once in a while, fine. But when it’s weekly or multiple times a week, it’s clutter. There needs to be a way to customize. I discovered the notification customization section and every topic category of mine were turned off. I do want some notifications, but definitely not high school sports. Also the ads are too loud.

The News Editor at KARE 11 should be fired for airing a story about pollution at the Smith Foundry, without giving either the name or location of the foundry. What possible reason do you have to withhold this information? Isn’t the point of this story to inform the public of the pollution violations of the Smith Foundry? How can anyone be informed if they don’t know who is polluting, and where. By the way, I never heard of this foundry, I am not a protester, just an alarmed viewer forced to research this story on my own. IMPORTANT STORY, BIG FAIL, FIRE THE NEWS DIRECTOR!

In todays world you would think programmers have been able to handle sound. Not the case with this app. Everything works well and as expected but be careful with headphones. The main videos will play so you turn the volume so you can hear it. Then when an add comes the audio is so much louder it will hurt your ears. This large fluctuation in sound volume from story to add is archaic in technical issues and should have been addressed long ago.

Long time follower of Kare11. The best news station in the twin cities. The entire staff is professional at what they do. Great journalism in-depth reporting. Top notch weather team lead by Belinda. Sports are phenomenal, with Reggie in the lead.

Sad that we lost our Johnnie Z in Madison WI but glad we can still see his happy, goofy self if we watch the weather in the Twin Cities

We moved to New Prague, MN 8-2-1999 ., because our daughter lived there. I love your station watching Belle and all. We moved away and arrived in Canyonville, OR 6-26-2021 which turned out to be the hottest 116 degrees in their history, our son lives here. I have your app and love watching. I also have the FOX 9 app . Oregon T V stations are not the same quality of shows. Thank you watching in our Geo Pro trailer on Mother’s Day on the Oregon coast at Oceanview R V and cabins in Coos Bay, OR beautiful sunny and 58 degrees going up to 70ish today. Marsha Stallings

App performance has improved.

I enjoy the KARE 11 news app a lot. They could definitely update stories more often. Over the weekend…very little changes as far as headlines. The same news for 2-3 days get redundant and I end up going to other news sources.

I trust KARE11.

I have watched KARE11 every day, every newscast since I moved to the Twin Cities in the 80’s. Love all the anchors especially Lauren and the rest of the senior team.

We watch Kare11 exclusively… we’ve tried watching other News on other stations but have been very disappointed with them. Even when we are visiting our grown children in Waukesha or Neenah… the quality of the reporting or weather has a lot to be desired! KARE 11 is the ultimate in programs, whether it’s the Saturday Morning Program, weather, news, sports, and all the personal…Belinda…Laura…Bobby…Dave…Randy…Reggie…Mace…Jana…Rena…Julie…Ben…and all the other reporters… new & old!!!
